The StethoCardiogram was a device developed to address the problem statement provided by MIT Media Lab – to create a cost-effective, handheld heart monitoring instrument. It worked by measuring and analyzing both – ECG (electrical) and heartbeat (sound) signals. The device was specifically designed to detect valvular murmurs which occur in case of ‘leaky heart valves’. Additional details of the device are protected by an IP agreement. More public information is available at RedX Home or Camera Culture Group Page.
